Study skills

When you join the University of Greenwich, you will receive ongoing help and training on everything from making notes and writing essays to undertaking research and preparing for exams.

With the support and guidance of experienced lecturers, you will be able to improve your reading, writing and presentation skills and acquire communication, self-development and self-management tools that will be valuable throughout your career.

New students

In your first year at the university, you will be able to attend study workshops that show you how to improve your listening and note making skills during lectures and how to manage your time more efficiently.

You will also be given invaluable resources that will help you improve your reading and assignment writing skills in order to gain an academic edge.

Dissertations and exams

When you need to undertake large projects or dissertations, or are getting ready to take exams, you will get all the help and support you need.

You will be given access to everything from online tutorials and downloadable guides that will sharpen your research skills, to checklists and guidelines on using the correct referencing style.

Through our Study Skills Centres, you will also be able to learn invaluable techniques for preparing for exams and managing stress and anxiety.

English as a second language

If English is your second language and you want to brush up on your English language skills, we can direct you to helpful resources that will improve your English and help you make the most of academic life.
