Bursaries and scholarships

Bursaries and scholarships available for 2012–13 are listed below.

High Achievement Scholarship

Scholarships are now available for home* students entering full-time undergraduate degree programmes at the university who hold high A-level grades or equivalent qualifications, and are paying the maximum fee of £8,300 In order to qualify you must have grades AAB or above, or equivalent qualifications as defined by HEFCE, and your application must be for a taught programme that requires on-campus attendance on one of the university’s main campuses, Avery Hill, Greenwich or Medway (online or distance learning students cannot apply). You must also be a home or EU** student and hold the University of Greenwich as a firm choice on your university application. Successful students will be awarded a scholarship of £2,500, offered as a fee waiver for each of the three years of study. In order to qualify for the award in subsequent years, you must have completed 120 credits per year and gained an overall mark of 60% for each year studied. Direct entrants to the second and third years are not eligible for this particular scholarship.

Students who are already graduates or are studying for equivalent or lower qualifications to those that they already hold, students assessed as studying for a postgraduate programme, following a programme funded by the NHS or within the School of Pharmacy are not eligible for an award.

*Meaning meeting the definition within the Education (Student Support) Regulations 2011, Part 2 Schedule 1 (UK and related category Nationals and EU Nationals)

**EU Nationals qualifications will be assessed to determine their equivalence to A-levels and associated grades
