Students with disabilities

A Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA) is available from Student Finance England (or regional equivalent such as Student Finance Wales) to help with the extra costs you incur while on your study of programme due to your disability.

Both full-time and part-time home students with disabilities can apply.

Part-time students must be studying at least 25 per cent of the full-time equivalent programme each year to be eligible.

The term 'disability' also includes student with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety and long term health problems.

If you would like to speak to an advisor about DSA or have a query about your disability and the support available, contact our Wellbeing Service.
