Advertising and Marketing Communications with Language, BA Hons

Advertising and Marketing Communications with Language, BA Hons

Our marketing programmes are designed to ensure they meet industry needs. Holders of this degree are offered exemptions on professional qualifications with the Market Research Society and the Institute of Direct Marketing. The degree also benefits from the introduction of several new advertising courses, written by former practitioners who have moved into academia. The programme is designed to gradually increase knowledge by building on courses from earlier years.

The programme has three language pathways leading to specific award titles: BA Hons Advertising and Marketing Communications with Language (French); BA Hons Advertising and Marketing Communications with Language (Italian); BA Hons Advertising and Marketing Communications with Language (Spanish).

Students have the option to complete a work placement year and to participate in the Erasmus overseas exchange programme. This Erasmus Scheme provides a grant towards the cost of studying abroad for a year.

We are proud to say the Complete University Guide 2014 has ranked us no.1 for student satisfaction for Marketing.

The aims of the programme are:

  • To help students develop an in-depth knowledge of advertising and communications theory and how this is applied in practice
  • To prepare students for the world of work by providing them with employable and transferable skills including competence in a European language.
