This programme provides a stimulating programme in research methodology that prepares students for the effective application of research in a wide range of health and social care and academic settings. Students may also wish to use the degree as a springboard into substantive doctoral research.

The award is relevant to a wide range of students working in health-related areas but will be of particular interest to health and social care professionals and managers who wish to make significant contributions to their place of work through research development, scholarship and the application of advanced skills and knowledge to health issues.

Students select a project in an area of interest from a series of suggestions by different research supervisors. Supervisors are available within the School of Health & Social Care and also other Schools within the university, depending upon the focus of the research.
