This programme focuses on the law and legal framework governing finance and e-commerce, as well as exploring various legal issues surrounding international trade and global markets.  Legal employers now place a high premium on graduates with knowledge and skills relating to these rapidly developing areas.  The programme combines the acquisition of sound academic theory with the development of practical legal abilities, such as IT and legal research.  Wherever possible, it seeks to place law in the wider context of social, political, moral and economic issues. Employability skills are incorporated into every course on the programme, enabling students to gain key transferable skills which will enhance career prospects. Students are also offered the opportunity to select specialist options and a dissertation, in order to develop a depth of knowledge in areas of interest.

Situated in London, on the banks of the River Thames, we are ideally placed for access to Central London and Canary Wharf. This proximity has assisted us in developing strong links with national and international commercial firms.  These links have enabled the department to develop an excellent employability programme, particularly in the commercial, regulated and legal sectors. As a student on the LLM in Finance and E-Commerce Law, you will be ideally placed to further your career in these areas.
