Pharmacy Practice, Foundation Degree (Medway)

This programme is designed to facilitate the progression of individuals working in hospital pathology laboratories and related disciplines. It is anticipated that students will achieve this qualification after 2 years of part-time study. Credits are awarded for activities carried out at the work place as well as at the College.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have:

EITHER
1 A level which ideally should be in a relevant science
OR 2 AS level passes 
OR a science-related BTEC National Diploma
PLUS
evidence of numeracy and literacy skills, e.g. GCSE mathematics and English at grade C or above.

Asssessment

Assessment methods are varied and include practical work, assignments, essays, presentations, short tests and examinations.

Progression Routes

Successful completion of the programme will allow progression onto Level 3 of a BSc honours degree programme e.g. BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science.

The programme will include courses covering the following topics:

  • Pharmacology

  • Biology of Disease
  • Biomedical Science
