Applying for a foundation degree

If you are looking to study a foundation degree at the University of Greenwich, the good news is that you do not need particular prior qualifications in order to apply. However, you are expected to be able to show some proof of your motivation and ability to succeed. Previous work and other experience will be considered, as will educational achievements.

For school or college leavers, one or more A Levels or a vocational qualification at level 3 is normally expected. An Advanced Apprenticeship also meets entry requirements.

If you have significant experience, it may be possible to accredit this formally towards a fast-tracked foundation degree.

How do I apply?

For a part-time foundation degree, you need to complete an online application form [opens in new window].

For a printed copy, please contact the university's Enquiry Unit. Telephone:020 8331 9000 or e-mail courseinfo@gre.ac.uk.

For a full-time foundation degree, you need to apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). For further information, visit the UCAS website.

Some bespoke foundation degrees are only for employees, e.g.Business and Administration for Health and Social Care (for Medway NHS Trust employees).

If the foundation degree you are interested in is offered in one of our partner colleges, you are advised to contact the college for the most up-to-date information and further advice about how to apply.
