Our guarantee
The University of Greenwich guarantees all new students a place in a hall of residence, or in university-approved housing, provided that:
- You are attending the university for the first time (either as a first-year undergraduate or postgraduate, or as a direct entrant to another year)
- You are enrolling on a full-time programme of study, for which you have qualified, and have accepted your offer of study by 17 August 2012
- You start your studies in September, and you are studying for the whole academic year
- Your accommodation application has been received before our deadline of 5pm on 17 August 2012.
If you do not meet the terms of the guarantee, you may put your name on a waiting list. Places in halls of residence usually become available during the early part of the academic year.
Although the university tries to honour the preferences of students when allocating rooms, we are not always able to house students in their preferred type of room. We consider the needs of all students including those who request single-sex environments, mixed flats or those with special medical requirements. Our priority in allocating rooms is to ensure a good community.
Our partner colleges
The university is not able to extend the guarantee of accommodation to students enrolled at partner colleges.
Students at our partner colleges are advised to contact their college for information about accommodation.
