Devonport House fact file

Study-bedrooms

Each room contains the standard study-bedroom fittings (bed, desk, wardrobe, chair, lamp, pinboard, etc.), as well as its own mini-fridge. Rooms are cabled to provide direct access to the university's network, the Web and e-mail. This can also be used to access both telephone and multi-channel digital TV services. There is no separate charge for the provision of these services (call charges will, of course, apply).

Some rooms have interesting layouts with the bed on a mezzanine platform above the en-suite facilities, and some are adapted for those with special needs.

Kitchen and lounge/dining room

In addition to the standard fittings (including cooker, fridge/freezer, store cupboards, table and chairs), each flat contains the following:

  • Kettle
  • Microwave
  • Iron
  • Ironing board
  • Vacuum cleaner.

Facilities

  • Launderette
  • Bicycle racks

Smoking policy

Smoking is not permitted in Devonport House.
