At Greenwich, we set high standards for teaching quality and provide professional training opportunities for all lecturers. We also measure students’ views on our services through our annual student satisfaction survey, and, if shortcomings are found, we address them.
The university is proud of its diverse student body. People from more than 140 countries choose to study at Greenwich, and over 1 in 5 of our students come from outside the United Kingdom. Services for students with disabilities or who have dyslexia give support to more than 1,000.
Many of our black and other ethnicminority students participate in a mentoring scheme that pairs them with high-fl yers in the City (London’s fi nancial centre) and elsewhere. Students benefi t from a research environment where staff share expertise and specialist facilities.
Not only are classes intellectually stimulating, they are also taught on campuses steeped in history; Greenwich Campus, for example, is part of the Old Royal Naval College, established by Royal Charter in 1694, and is at the centre of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of British society and culture by living and studying alongside British students, and you will be able to experience London, one of the world’s great capital cities.
Our Study Abroad staff are here to help make this the experience of a lifetime. We will support you from your very fi rst contact with the university through to ensuring that your academic transcript arrives with you in a timely fashion. We are your fi rst port of call for any problems that might arise.
