International Foundation Programme with Cultural Studies University of Greenwich

The International Foundation Programme with Cultural Studies (IFPCS) is a one year pre-degree programme designed for overseas students who have been educated in English or have a minimum IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent but who do not immediately fulfil the academic entry requirements for undergraduate study in the Schools of Business, Computing & Mathematical Sciences or Humanities & Social Sciences.

Aims of programme

  • To provide international students, who have been educated in English, with access to degree or higher diploma programmes at the University of Greenwich.
  • To provide students with an opportunity to develop the academic skills needed for success in higher education.
  • To ensure students acquire the knowledge, self-confidence and study skills needed in an academic environment.

A variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars and group and individual tutorials are used on the programme. You will have full access to university facilities, including the library, language centre and computers.

Entry on to this programme is possible in September and January.

The programme comprises of 15 taught hours over four days and one day for self-directed study. You should expect to pay £30–£50 for course books.
