International Foundation Programme with Cultural Studies (IFPCS) is a one year pre-degree programme designed for overseas students who have been educated in English or have a minimum IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent but who do not immediately fulfil the academic entry requirements for undergraduate study in the Schools of Business, Computing & Mathematical Sciences or Humanities & Social Sciences.
A variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars and group and individual tutorials are used on the programme. You will have full access to university facilities, including the library, language centre and computer access.
Entry to the IFPCS is possible in September or January.
There are a number of optional courses that you may take in order to study in greater depth any subject that you find particularly interesting.
