Nepal

The University of Greenwich welcomes students from Nepal studying foundation, undergraduate (Bachelor) degree, and postgraduate (Master’s) degree programmes.

To join our programmes you will need to meet both academic and English language entry requirements before you start the programme. You need not wait until you satisfy all the entry requirements before you apply to study with us.

Entry requirements

Foundation and undergraduate degrees

For entry to the International Foundation Programme, in either September or January, you will need:

• An IELTS of 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in each component or equivalent and
• To have completed 12 years of education and been awarded the High School Certificate

For entry to our four year extended degree programmes in engineering, you will need:

• An IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent and
• To have completed 12 years of education and been awarded the High School Certificate

For entry to Year 1 of three year Bachelor degree programmes, you will need to pass the International Foundation Programme, or if you have an IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent, to have passed a Bachelors degree in Nepal.

You may also apply for Year 1 if you have completed the first year of a relevant degree or you have an International Baccalaureate or A levels.

Master’s degrees

For entry to our Master’s programmes, you will need to have:

• An IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent or
• TOEFL of 93 (with a minimum R22, L21, S23, W21) and to have a passed both a Bachelors and a Master’s degree from Nepal

Certain programmes have special requirements. For example, some MBA programmes require work experience after graduation at an appropriate level; and those for architecture need to submit a portfolio of their work.

English language courses

Summer pre-sessional English language courses and International Foundation Programmes are available.
