The University of Greenwich welcomes students from Kazakhstan studying foundation, undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree, and postgraduate (Master’s) degree programmes.
To join our programmes you will need to meet both academic and English language entry requirements before you start the programme. You need not wait until you satisfy all the entry requirements before you apply to study with us.

Entry requirements

Foundation and undergraduate degrees

For entry to the International Foundation Programme, in either September or January, you will need:

• An IELTS of 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in each component or equivalent and
• Certificate of Completed Secondary Education with Grades of 3 (satisfactory) or 4 (good)

For entry to our four year extended degree programmes in engineering, you will need:

• An IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent and
• Certificate of Completed Secondary Education with Grades of 4 (good) or 5 (excellent)

For entry to Year 1 of three year Bachelor degree programmes, you will need a Diploma of Specialised Secondary Education with good grades to be considered
Advanced standing to Year 2 or Year 3 of certain degree programmes is considered on an individual basis. You will need an IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent.

Master’s degrees

For entry to our Master’s programmes, you will generally need to have an IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent and high grades in the Bakalavr, Diplom or Magister (post 1991) to be considered.
Certain programmes have special requirements. For example, some MBA programmes require work experience after graduation at an appropriate level; and those for architecture need to submit a portfolio of their work.

English language courses

Summer pre-sessional English language courses and International Foundation Programmes are available.
