The University of Greenwich has over 80 students from Hong Kong on campus studying foundation, undergraduate (Bachelor) degree, and postgraduate (Master’s) degree programmes.

To join our programmes you will need to meet both academic and English language entry requirements before you start the programme. You need not wait until you satisfy all the entry requirements before you apply to study with us.

Entry requirements

Foundation and undergraduate degrees

For entry to Year 1 of three year Bachelor degree programmes, you will need to have completed 13 years of education and to have six HKCEE passes (including Mathematics and English with grade C) and three A level examinations.

Advanced standing to Year 2 is possible if you have A levels and have completed the first year of a relevant degree, or to Year 3 of a few degrees if you have A levels and have completed two years of a relevant degree in Hong Kong.

Advanced standing to Year 2 is also possible if you have, or will have prior to the academic year starting in September, completed a relevant associate degree, or you have completed two or three years of an approved diploma or higher diploma in Hong Kong.

Master’s degrees

For entry to our Master’s programmes, you will need to have a three year degree (post A-level) from Hong Kong.

Certain programmes have special requirements. For example, some MBA programmes require work experience after graduation at an appropriate level; and those for architecture need to submit a portfolio of their work.

English language courses

Summer pre-sessional English language courses and International Foundation Programmes are available.

The University of Greenwich also offers the opportunity to join the final year of either our BSc Hons Computing or BSc Hons Accounting and Finance at ABRS Management & Technology Institute in Wanchai. For these, you must have certain qualifications relating either to IMIS awards or in accounting.

International Office

The International Office is a dedicated department, here to assist international students and guide them through the application process. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
