The University of Greenwich welcomes students from Colombia studying foundation, undergraduate (Bachelor) degree, and postgraduate (Master’s) degree programmes. In fact we are one of the top recruiters of Colombian students in the UK.

To join our programmes you will need to meet both academic and English language entry requirements before you start the programme. You need not wait until you satisfy all the entry requirements before you apply to study with us.

Entry requirements

Foundation and undergraduate degrees

For entry to the International Foundation Programme, in either September or January, you will need to have:

• An IELTS of 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in each component or equivalent and
• To have completed 12 years of education and have a Bachillerato

For entry to our four year extended degree programmes in engineering, you will need to have:

• An IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent and
• To have completed 12 years of education and have a Bachillerato

For entry to Year 1 of three year Bachelor degree programmes, you will need to pass the International Foundation Programme. Exceptionally, if you have an IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent and very good marks in your Bachillerato, you may be considered for Year 1 of a degree. You may also apply for Year 1 if you have completed the first year of a relevant degree.

Advanced standing to year two is possible if you have completed two years of a relevant degree in Colombia or to Year 3 of some degrees if you have completed three years of a relevant degree in Colombia. You will need an IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent.

Master’s degrees

For entry to our Master’s programmes, you will need to have:

• An IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent or
• TOEFL of 93 (with a minimum R22, L21, S23, W21) and to have a Licenciado degree (minimum four years) from Colombia

International Pre-Master’s Programmes are available to those who wish to prepare themselves for postgraduate study.

Certain programmes have special requirements. For example, applicants for the MBA programmes must have two to three years' full-time management work experience after graduation at an appropriate level; and those for architecture need to submit a portfolio of their work.

La Universidad de Greenwich da la bienvenida a estudiantes de Colombia que estudian programas de título vocacional, pregrado y postgrado (Maestría). De hecho somos uno de los reclutadores más importantes de estudiantes colombianos en el Reino Unido.

Para unirse a nuestros programas deberán cumplir con los requisitos de admisión tanto académicos como del idioma inglés antes de iniciar el programa. No necesitan esperar hasta cumplir con todos los requisitos para aplicar a estudiar con nosotros.

Requisitos de admisión

Títulos vocacionales y de pregrado

Para entrar al Programa Vocacional Internacional, ya sea en septiembre o enero, necesitará tener:

• Un IELTS de 4.5 o TOEFL de 32 ibt o 97 cbt y
• Haber completado 12 años de educación y tener un Bachillerato.

Para entrar a uno de nuestros programas de titulación extendida de cuatro años en ingeniería, necesitará tener:

• Un IELTS de 6.0 o TOEFL de 80 ibt o 213 cbt y
• Haber completado 12 años de educación y tener un Bachillerato.

Para entrar al Año 1 de los programas de Bachillerato de tres años, usted debe pasar el Programa Vocacional Internacional. Excepcionalmente, si tiene un IELTS de 6.0 y muy buenas calificaciones en su Bachillerato, puede ser considerado para un título de 1 año. También puede aplicar para el título de 1 año si ha completado el primer año de una carrera relacionada.

Avanzar al año 2 es posible si ha completado dos años de una carrera relacionada en Colombia, o hasta el tercer año de algunas carreras, si ha completado tres años de una carrera relacionada en Colombia. Necesitará un IELTS de 6.0.

Maestría

Para entrar al programa de Maestrías necesitará tener un IELTS de 6.0 o TOEFL de 80 ibt o 213 cbt y tener un título de Licenciado, (estudios mínimos de cuatro años) en Colombia. Los Programas Pre-maestría Internacionales se encuentran disponibles para quienes deseen prepararse para estudios de postgrado.

Algunos programas tienen requisitos especiales. Por ejemplo, los aplicantes a un programa MBA deben tener o tres años de experiencia en trabajo administrativo a tiempo completo después de la titulación a un nivel apropiado, y para arquitectura deben entregar un portafolio de su trabajo.
