The University of Greenwich welcomes students from Botswana studying foundation, undergraduate (Bachelor) degree, and postgraduate (Masters) degree programmes. We in fact one of the top recruiters in the UK of students from Botswana.

To join our programmes you will need to meet both academic and English language entry requirements before you start the programme. You need not wait until you satisfy all the entry requirements before you apply to study with us.

Entry requirements

Foundation and undergraduate degrees

For entry to the International Foundation Programme, in either September or January, you will need to have Cambridge Overseas School Certificate grades 1 to 6, to have completed 12 years of school education and have completed Part 1 year 1 of a degree.

For entry to our four year extended degree programmes in engineering, you will need to have Cambridge Overseas School Certificate grades 1 to 6, to have completed 12 years of school education and have passed Part 1 year 1 of a degree at the University of Botswana.

For entry to Year 1 of three year Bachelor degree programmes, you will need to have passed Part 1, years 1 and 2, of a degree at the University of Botswana.

Advanced standing to Year 2 may be possible if you have completed three years of a relevant degree from the University of Botswana.

Master’s degrees

For entry to our Master’s programmes, you will need to have passed:

  • Cambridge Overseas School Certificate plus
  • A Bachelors and a master’s degree at the University of Botswana

Certain programmes have special requirements. For example, some MBA programmes require work experience after graduation at an appropriate level; and those for architecture need to submit a portfolio of their work.

English language courses

Summer pre-sessional English language courses and International Foundation Programmes are available.
