Piotr AdamczakCharlton Athletic line up for their next home game on Saturday 4 February with some help from the university.

The Addicks' match against Fleetwood Town takes place on University of Greenwich Day at The Valley. Media, IT and Sport Science students will be taking part in various activities, such as the players' warm up, match commentary and filming, interviews, and presenting the man of the match award.

Jake Trimmings, 19, is in the second year of a Sports Science with Professional Football Coaching degree. He says: "The link with Charlton is what attracted me to join the university. I'm a Charlton supporter and this is a very good opportunity to help me develop a career. I'm delighted to be involved and to promote the fantastic opportunities that both the university and the club can create for students like me."

Piotr Adamczak, 31, pictured, who is in the third year of a Sports Science degree, adds: "I worked really hard for this opportunity and the link between the club and the university has made it possible. I'm really excited to be involved."

The day will focus on the relationship between the club and university. It will raise awareness of Greenwich's Open Days and highlight the partnership between the two, as well as the opportunities available to students.
