Web 2.0 / Social Web for Learning Research Group

The aim of this cluster is to explore the use of social networking and web 2.0 tools in teaching and learning. This has previously involved studies into the use of Wiki’s by students to document requirements (gala.gre.ac.uk/5552/), a university funded investigation into the use of social bookmarking by students and lecturers and we are currently exploring the use of twitter for feedback and problem solving. The ultimate goal of this group is to develop a framework for the use of social networking and web 2.0 tools that provides a set of open educational resources for different modes of learning and teaching.
