E-Society Research Group

The aim of this cluster is to explore how technology can be used to find solutions to social problems. Specific areas highlighted by this group for study include problems in multiagency environments, such as health or the criminal justice system, systems used by the charity sector, and how technology can be used to overcome specific social problems, for example, tools for supporting elderly people in the home. Research will focus on evaluating which approaches provide the best technical solution to solve the social problem.
