E-Learning and Training Environments Research Group

The E-Learning and Training Environments group is primarily concerned with the development of rich multimedia, augmented reality, virtual reality, and immersive games-based environments, and combinations of these, to support student learning and academic or commercial training scenarios. Research within the group builds from strong technological and educational theory, and occasionally contributes to it, to develop applicative solutions to meet actual learning and training needs.

The group has a strong history of attracting research funding, over a number of years, and has also successfully supervised a number of research degree students. As a result, the group has an extensive network of research partners, both nationally and internationally, with whom it collaborates in a variety of projects.
