Research Groups

The University of Greenwich eCentre offers a multi-disciplinary research environment in which staff from a variety of cognate disciplines can investigate the use of digital technologies to support teaching, research, consultancy and commercial activities. As such, the centre supports activities as diverse as the development of social bookmarking as a teaching technique for research skills, the development of a website for the London Ships partnership, through to a European project developing a rich multimedia training environment for strategic crisis managers, and UK national projects on e-feedback and assessment, and digital literacy.

The eCentre acts as an umbrella organisation for a wide range of research groups, some well-established with a long history of projects, some more recently established and building their reputation, and some short-term groups formed to address a particular topic with no expected long-term future.

The eCentre also provides a home for a number of PhD and MPhil students, researching into a wide range of topics in the use of digital technologies.

Our project pages provide links to the ever-growing list of projects undertaken under the aegis of the eCentre, so please browse those pages to see the range and scope of work undertaken.

Whilst a number of these projects are internal to the university, the vast majority involve applied research that engages with external bodies, companies and organisations.

If you would be interested in working with the eCentre, whether as a university academic, a PhD student, or an external project partner, please see our Contact page to start that process.  We look forward to working with you!
