You can change the text and colours of your browser to make the web easier to use. Below are instructions for changing the settings of the most popular browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
To change text style, size, colour, and background colour
- On the Tools menu, select Internet Options
- On the General tab, under Appearance, click Colours
- Uncheck 'Use Windows Colours'
- Choose the colours you want to use for text, background and links. Click OK and OK again.
Firefox
To change text style, size, colour, and background colour:
- On the Tools menu, select Options
- In the Content section, under Fonts & Colours, click Advanced and uncheck 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above'
- Choose your preferred font and colour options, and click OK
- Still in the Content section, under Fonts & Colours, click Colours and uncheck 'Allow pages to choose their own colours, instead of my selections above'
- Click OK, and OK again.
Safari
To make other changes to text style, size, colour, and background colour:
- On the Safari menu, select Preferences
- In the Appearance section, make your selections for standard font and fixed width font.
