Study skills help at the university

The university's Study Skills Centres offer academic support to students throughout the year. They are staffed by experienced and friendly lecturers who are happy to help you gain skills that will give a real edge to your academic work. As an international student, the Study Skills Team can help you with developing your academic skills, from essay writing to presentation skills.

Language classes at the university

Language classes

English language classes are available for improving your English upon arrival in the UK, as well as accredited courses for non-native English speakers that count towards your degree.

Prepare for Success interactive skills website

Prepare for Success is an excellent tool for any international student newly arrived at the university who would like to know more about what academic life in the UK involves. There are twenty two interactive modules that guide students through what academic skills are needed, and what to expect from your studies.
