• Nursery 'outstanding' says latest Ofsted report

Avery Hill Day Nursery continues to deliver outstanding childcare, according to the latest Ofsted report published on 25 February 2011.

The Nursery achieved the highest score possible key inspection areas of overall effectiveness in:

• early years provision
• leadership and management of early years provision
• quality of provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage
• outcomes for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage

Excellent partnership with parents

A typical area of excellence highlighted by the Oftsed inspection is the partnership the Nursery develops with parents, which has a significant contribution to the children's well being. Parents are  encouraged to become actively involved in their child's learning, including a weekend diary to share between parents and child over the weekend, coffee mornings, regular newsletters and meetings with key nursery staff.
