Equality and diversity advice for students

Getting advice

The university employs a member of staff to work with students to offer advice and help to resolve problems and concerns they may have. This is approached at an informal stage, using a variety of techniques including advocacy, mediation and conciliation, seeking  (where possible) to resolve concerns through open dialogue and joint agreement.

In some cases it may be necessary to see the Welfare and Diversity Officer on more than one occasions due to the complexities of the problem. The Welfare and Diversity Officer can also advise you on formal procedures.

The sessions are conducted in a confidential and safe environment.

Speak with a member of staff

If you wish to speak with a member of staff about welfare or diversity issues, contact:

Marie Franks, Welfare and Diversity Officer

Mondays & Wednesdays, 9am - 5pm
Flat 19, Catherine of Aragon Court, Southwood Site
020 8331 8481
