The university has its own bus service which operates exclusively for students and staff. The service covers four routes; between each of our campuses at Avery Hill, Greenwich and Medway; and from Falconwood station at Avery Hill. Please note you may be asked to show your university ID card on any university bus to determine your entitlement to travel. Follow link for Conditions of Travel.
Avery Hill - Greenwich service
The service between Avery Hill and Greenwich Campus is a free service. During term time it operates with two fully accessible double deck buses and includes a service in the morning to our Bathway site in Woolwich. Outside of teaching and exam weeks minibuses may be used instead.
The service to and from Medway Campus is primarily a coach service intended for students commuting from London to Medway with departures from Greenwich and Avery Hill Campus. There is however a 9am service from Medway.
You must purchase a ticket prior to travel (see timetable for sales outlets); we subsidise the cost to keep the prices affordable (see table below). If you study at the University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University you may use the service but are only permitted to purchase 2-journey tickets as stated below.

Avery Hill Falconwood station shuttle bus
The Falconwood station shuttle bus is a free service at Avery Hill Campus to assist train commuters. It runs to a timetable between Falconwood Station and the Mansion and Southwood sites. Please look out for the silver bus with distinctive markings. Note at busy times a second vehicle is used.
