University bus service University of Greenwich

The university bus service operates exclusively for the university community. The service covers four routes detailed below. Please note you may be asked to show your university ID card on any university bus to prove your entitlement to travel. Follow the link for Conditions of Travel.

Avery Hill - Greenwich service

The service between Avery Hill and Greenwich Campus is free and is very popular with students living in the Student Village. Most of the timetable operates with fully accessible double-deck buses and during term time includes a service in the morning to our Bathway site in Woolwich.

Medway service

The Medway service is aimed at students commuting from London to Medway with departures from Greenwich and Avery Hill Campus. There is also a 9am service from Medway to support travel to London. Coaches are provided from Greenwich and minibuses from Avery Hill.

You must purchase a ticket prior to travel. Please click on the timetable for a list of sales outlets. We subsidise the cost of the service to help keep the fares affordable (see table below). If you study at the University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University you may use the service but you are limited to purchasing the 2-journey tickets as stated below.

Avery Hill Falconwood station shuttle bus

The Falconwood station shuttle bus is a free service at Avery Hill Campus to assist train commuters. It runs to a timetable between Falconwood station and the Mansion and Southwood sites. Please look out for a Falconwood signed minibus. Note at busy times a second minibus is used.
