Undergraduate placements

Our undergraduate programmes give students the opportunity to obtain placements with local and national employers. This provides you with valuable industry experience and the skills required to succeed in your chosen field, and strengthens your employment prospects upon graduation. We maintain a list of placement and other employment and volunteering opportunities.

The aim of a placement

A placement enables students to acquire practical experience by applying the knowledge they gain during their time at the University of Greenwich.

Placements help develop key skills, including personal and interpersonal skills, communication, numeracy, problem solving, a positive attitude towards change, values and personal integrity, and an understanding of the world of work, politics and society.

Employability and careers guidance

We are here to help students assemble a successful employability portfolio. The team runs a series of workshops, events and drop-in sessions covering the following areas:

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Covering letter
  • Application form
  • Competency based questions
  • Interview techniques
  • Mock assessment centre
  • Networking.
