social science and environmental issues, in particular environmental sociology, sustainable tourism, environmental ethics and human geography, actor network theory and hybrid geography, ocean waves and hybrid geography. Current funded research includes sense of place and inshore marine fisheries.

socio-economic forestry, landscape assessment, management and ecology; historical ecology; mediation; consensus building and participation.

Dr Andrew Haggart

pollen and diatom analysis, interpretation of stratigraphy and radiocarbon dating; reconstructing environmental history and charting early human alteration of the environment; environmental interpretation on sites due to be developed or redeveloped.
