Research
The School of Science has a thriving research base with many of its activities gaining international praise and recognition. Staff are regularly invited to present their research work at both national and international conferences. Their status in the scientific world is further enhanced as a result of their work on the editorial boards of some of the world's leading journals.
In addition to pure and applied research, the School of Science has a thriving enterprise portfolio providing facilities, expertise and training to companies and other external bodies in the south east of England, nationally and internationally.
The combination of our world-class facilities and academic expertise has been used by small companies and multinational conglomerates to assist with problem solving, product development and enhancement and staff training.
