About us

The aim of the Educational Development Unit is to promote and encourage innovation and excellence in curriculum design and delivery and act as a catalyst in the growth of networks and collaborations across the institution and into the Higher Education Sector.

The unit has a strong national and international presence delivering the University of Greenwich's Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in HE, supporting CPD through the National Framework Agreement and training PhD students (including postgraduate researchers), in teaching and learning. The unit is also responsible for delivering the highly successful annual Educational Conference Series and the publication of Compass – our teaching and learning journal.

The recent growth of the EDU demonstrates the university's commitment to and increasing sector emphasis on continuing enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment to ensure quality and consistency in the ways we engage and equip our students for life-long learning and employability in the 21st century.

Our experts

Our team of academics and learning technologists are all recognised in the field of educational development and research.

Promoting excellence
