This book examines the impact of public sector reforms and reorganisations on the experiences of the UK public sector's six million workers and those employed in the private sector but providing public services. Chapters (many of which are written by WERU members) bring long-standing topics up-to-date, such as worker representation and reward and introduce new topics such as management consultants and assistants’ roles.
