Faith leaders and community workers are invited to attend a series of talks which explore the ways in which faith based organisations are helping to bring about positive social change. Enterprising Faiths in Health and Social Care will take place at the Avery Hill campus of the University of Greenwich on Wednesday March 31.
The conference is an opportunity to understand more about faith based enterprises, practical help on how to set up a sustainable social enterprise and how to secure funding and grants.
Topics include unemployment, homelessness, grant funding and commissioning advice. There will also be the opportunity for guests to talk to speakers on the day between 10am and 4pm.

Peter Watherston: Tackling Unemployment, Homelessness and Inequalities through the Social Enterprise Model
Susie Page: Developing a Business Case for your Social Enterprise Initiative and Exploiting Public Sector Funding Opportunities
Mathew Porter: Grant funding and commissioning advice for social enterprises and faith based organisations
Charles Oham Senior Lecturer in Social Enterprise at the University of Greenwich School of Health & Social Care, comments:
