Biography:

Nicola MacLeod has more than 19 years of experience of teaching tourism at the University of Greenwich and the University of North London (now London Metropolitan University) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. During this period, she has taught extensively, contributed to the development of new programmes and published widely.

Responsibilities within the university:

Teaching and administrative activities

AC4/Principal Lecturer with departmental responsibility for quality assurance.

Course leader on several postgraduate and undergraduate courses.

Current research:

Current research explores the role of self-guided tourist trails in the creation and experience of tourist space.

External activities:

Past External Examiner for Oxford Brookes University and the University of East London and currently External Examiner at Edinburgh Napier University.
