Dr Hanna Yakavenka has been working at University of Greenwich Business School since 2006 while teaching and researching in the field of international business, cross-cultural management and business research methodologies. Currently she manages the MBA/MA International Business programme.
In her PhD (obtained from the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School) Dr Yakavenka investigated the impact of international management knowledge transfer on business education programmes in a post-Soviet environment. The key research question was how knowledge transforms when it is transferred cross-culturally and whether local agents are capable of dealing with the complexities of the transfer to enable effective utilisation of the outcomes in the host environment.
Dr Yakavenka is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the National HE Advisory Group in 14–19 BAF Diplomas Initiative and The British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies
