How to succeed in the 'Age of Complexity' is among the themes of the University of Greenwich's latest Big Picture seminar.

David Clive Price, a highly respected advisor, author and speaker, will be fronting the session on Wednesday, 11 October, from 5pm. His talk, Intelligent Leadership and Changing Times, is free to attend, and open to all.

Referring to his bestselling book Bamboo Strong, David challenges audiences to be more resilient and effective in the diverse workplace, either when dealing with multicultural teams at home, or communicating with colleagues and customers in new markets.

"We live in an Age of Complexity, where workforces are becoming increasingly diverse, new cultures and markets more accessible, and social and economic challenges multiply daily," he says. "Instead of sticking to the known or giving in to confusion, we need to dare more, explore difference, and profit from clear strategies to succeed in both the local and the global marketplace."

David has worked with a number of global organisations, from Fortune 500 companies to major financial institutions. His clients include Bank of China, Standard Chartered, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and many more.

He spent five years as strategic advisor and chief speechwriter for Asia for the HSBC Group in the run-up to the handover of Hong Kong, and much of his work over the past two decades has involved mentoring business leaders.

The Big Picture events take place at the Greenwich Campus, in the Stephen Lawrence Building, Room 101. Entry is on a first come, first served basis, and early arrival is recommended.

Run by the university's Business School, these seminars give high-profile speakers a chance to share their expert insights with staff, students and the public. Subjects include entrepreneurship, leadership and management, the economy and the media.
