The Global Fight against Piracy: Somalia and Beyond

A2012-Greenwich-hosts-Economic-Governance-and-Innovation-ConferenceThe first Greenwich Maritime Institute (GMI) research seminar of the new academic year takes place on Wednesday, 12 October at 6pm. Dr Christian Bueger will present a paper entitled The Global Fight against Piracy: Somalia and Beyond.

Dr Bueger is a Leverhulme Visiting Fellow at GMI, working on a contemporary piracy research project, Pirates, Fishermen and the International Community. He is also investigating the international response to Somali piracy. 

The seminar will take place in Room 075, Queen Anne Court, University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College, at 6pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 5.30pm, with a glass of wine afterwards. The seminar is free and there is no need to book. All are welcome.
