The Stephen Lawrence Gallery at the University of Greenwich hosts an exhibition by painter and printmaker Otto Pankok (1893-1966), an important figure within German Expressionism during the 1920s.
During the 1930s, Pankok encountered Sinti, the German Gypsies, who became the subject of his work. The exhibition "Otto Pankok: SINTI", curated by Moritz Pankok, Otto’s grand-nephew, shows the graphical work of that time, with etchings and wood cuts as well as bronze sculptures, photographs, books and documents on display. The exhibition opened on Monday, 7 June and runs until Friday, 26 June.
