  • A1581 - Medway campus

Get a student’s eye view of life at Medway

A1581---Medway

Anyone still considering their options ahead of the forthcoming university year can gain a genuine insight into life at the University of Greenwich at Medway by booking a campus tour with those who know it best – the students.

Individually tailored tours providing an insider’s view of life on, and off, the Medway Campus at Chatham Maritime are available for prospective students – and their parents or guardians – by calling 0208 331 8354. Tour sights are arranged to suit each visitor but would typically include academic facilities such as lecture theatres and the library, computer laboratories, halls of residence and the Students’ Union.

Derek Norris, Open Day Co-ordinator at the University of Greenwich, says: “If you are going to study somewhere for three or four years, it is important you feel comfortable with every aspect of the university.

“The best person to show you around and answer any questions you may have is someone currently experiencing the university first hand as a student. Guides from the school of study that you are interested in entering can make sure you get the real insider information you need to make an informed choice.”

The University of Greenwich at Medway is proving increasingly popular with students. Some courses such as Pharmacy are full already but there are still places available on a range of others including Science, Nursing, Business and Engineering.

There are also places available on two of the university’s newest courses. The School of Science will be running a new BSc in Forensic Science & Criminology course based on the university’s campuses at Medway and Greenwich. Students will study in brand new laboratories in Medway while also spending time at the stunning Greenwich campus. Also starting this year is a BSc in Sustainable Development, focussing on environmental sciences and their impact on climate, agriculture, building design and regeneration.
