New Evening Course Folkestone

A1341-_Folkestone

Anyone interested in cultural regeneration will find a new course running at the University Centre Folkstone valuable.

Running over three Wednesday evenings starting on 25 July, the short course, An Introduction to Cultural Regeneration, looks at how culture is being used to regenerate towns, cities and regions in the UK and overseas.

Subjects include the development of cultural quarters, landmark buildings, cultural capitals, branding and cultural tourism. The role of the arts, museums and heritage are also examined.

This unique course takes place in Folkestone’s own creative quarter at the newly opened University Centre Folkestone at the Glassworks, Mill Bay, Folkestone. It will be taught by staff from the University of Greenwich with experience of researching and working in cultural regeneration.

The course costs £45 including refreshments and session run from 6pm to 8.30pm. To book your place, please email Zoe Lau: z.lau@gre.ac.uk or phone 020 8331 9877.
