The University of Greenwich at Medway has won a national prize for the way it maintains the premises. It was awarded the Kimberly-Clark Professional and CSSA Golden Service Award for Best Cleaned Premises in the Education sector. The campus is maintained by contract cleaning company Carillion Pall Mall.
The University of Greenwich beat hundreds of other organisations to the shortlist of 76 entries that reached the ‘Finals’. Independent experts from the cleaning profession have visited all finalist organisations to complete the strict judging programme.
The Golden Service Awards is the top honour recognising excellence in the cleaning industry.
The prestigious award was presented by TV personality and Perfect Housewife star Anthea Turner to John Bisbrown, Deputy Campus Facilities Manager, at the University of Greenwich together with representatives from Carillion Pall Mall.
They were presented the award at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel where over 600 finalists and their guests joined VIPs from the cleaning profession.
