The University of Greenwich has extended the opening hours of its Clearing hotlines to make it even easier for everyone seeking a university place at its Medway, Avery Hill and Greenwich campuses this autumn to speak to expert advisors and admissions tutors.
From Thursday, August 17, school and college leavers, as well as potential mature students (over 21 years) are able to phone in to talk to the team of admissions tutors and students from 8am to 10pm on weekdays on 0800 005 006.
On Saturday, August 19, the Clearing hotline will be open from 9am and 6pm and on Sunday, August 20, from 10am to 4pm.“We have one of the busiest Clearing centres in the country and we will be handling thousands of calls from school leavers and mature people hoping to start a full or part time degree course this autumn,” said Beverley Woodhams, Head of Recruitment.
“We are keeping the lines open longer this year to enable even more people looking for courses to receive the individual attention they need to talk through the options available.
“This can be a very unsettling time particularly for people who have just received their examination results and they need personalised information and support.
“Our Clearing hotline experts are trained to offer that support and respond to applications for courses very quickly.
“We are also opening our three campuses to the public from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, August 19.
“The special Clearing Open Day will enable potential applicants to talk to tutors and lecturers face to face as well as seeing for themselves all our academic and student facilities.”
