University Student Volunteers Organise Party for Children

University of Greenwich students Clare Davis, who is studying a BSc in Complementary Therapies and Antony Marks, who is studying for an Engineering PhD.Students from the University of Greenwich Volunteer Programme organised a Christmas arts and crafts afternoon in the Children's Department of Medway Maritime Hospital on Wednesday December 13.

Student volunteers helped with the children aged from 14 months to 15 years old make Christmas cards, tree decorations and calendars. They also iced and decorated biscuits.

Diane Lowe, Volunteer Development Officer at the University of Greenwich says: "It was a fun-packed afternoon with both the student volunteers and the children having a really enjoyable time. Volunteering is such a great way to give something back to your local community and to help those less fortunate than yourselves."
