Universities at Medway students showed they had a head for fashion during a visit by a top-notch hair salon. Staff from Tiffs hair design visited the campus at Chatham Maritime for a special promotion, where they offered students free style consultations, gave grooming tips and carried out hair-cutting demonstrations. Tiffs, based in Chatham, also ran a prize draw to win free haircuts and offered students discounts on cuts and products at its salon.
The visit was arranged by the Universities at Medway Students' Association (UMSA), which represents all the partner institutions at Medway - Kent, Greenwich and Christ Church universities, plus Mid-Kent College. The event took place in the newly-opened Pilkington Building.
Sophie Bruschan, student activities co-ordinator for UMSA, said the free fashion advice had proved a big hit with Medway students. 'It was nice for students to drop in to this event between lectures, and pick up a few style tips from the experts,' she said. 'The Universities at Medway are happy to help support local businesses, especially those who give our students a decent discount!'
