Senior Lecturer, Events Management
Rob Davidson recently joined the Business School attracted by the quality of teaching and research and the London Centre for Events Management’s (LCEM) efforts to promote excellence in events management practice and research.
Rob’s background is in the promotion of cities as destinations for business events, primarily conferences and exhibitions. He worked with VisitBritain until 1989, before spending nine years as a freelance travel journalist, based in France, where he contributed to tourism management courses at Lille and Montpellier universities, and the ESSEC-Cornell Institute of Management in Paris.
In addition to his scholarly activities, Rob regularly write articles for the professional business events press, including a monthly column in Conference News. He has also carried out consultancy projects for a number of major conference organisations in the UK and overseas.
