There are many opportunities for sport and fitness activities on and around the University of Greenwich. Below we list the most popular clubs and activities.
This includes a sports hall, offering courts and equipment for a range of indoor sports, including five-a-side football, basketball, badminton, netball and volleyball. Outdoor facilities include football pitches and netball and tennis courts. Local cricket, basketball and netball teams also use the facilities throughout the year.
Next door to the student village on the Avery Hill Campus is the Airdome, an indoor football facility shared between the university and Charlton Athletic Football Club. The university uses the facility during the week, with special access for the student football teams at selected times at the weekend. The university sports teams also benefit from shared facilities with Blackheath Rugby Club and Dartford Judo Club, a National Centre for Excellence.

Greenwich Cyclists is a local group that exists to encourage people to cycle. It organises bike rides and events for everyone based in Greenwich, south-east London.

For only £50 a year, students can join Medway's gym and sports hall. The gym offers a variety of cardio-vascular and resistance equipment, while the sports hall provides facilities for football, volleyball, badminton, netball and table tennis.

This ice skating rink in Gillingham is open seven days a week. There's also a sports bar called Bar Blu, where you can watch sporting action on plasma screens.
Another leisure facility you can try in Gillingham is Strand Lesiure Park. It has a swimming pool, crazy golf, 3-par golf course and tennis courts.
